AgustaWestland Will Deliver A Total Of Seven Of The Medium Twin Helos To Japanese Law Enforcement

The Japan National Police Agency (JNPA) has signed contracts with AgustaWestland for three AW139 medium twin helicopters, the company announced Wednesday in conjunction with Mitsui Bussan Aerospace. These helicopters will be used by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Nagaono Prefectural Police and Hokkaido Prefectural Police to perform multi-role law enforcement missions.

International Tour Recognizes First Responders And Role Of Helicopters In Emergency Operations

"Legacy of Heroes" is the name of the demonstration tour launched late last week by Sikorsky with a specially customized S-92 helicopter. The tour, which began its multi-country visit from Sikorsky's Global Helicopters facility in Coatesville, PA, will recognize first responders to natural disasters and other humanitarian emergencies around the globe while promoting the company's family of products including the H-92 helicopter, the military version of the company's commercial S-92 helicopter.

Bolen: Administration's Proposal At Odds With Job-Creation Agenda

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen on Monday issued a statement in response to news that President Obama's jobs plan (the American Jobs Act), unveiled Monday, includes a provision singling out business aviation with a proposal to lengthen tax-depreciation schedules for business aircraft. The move would be a reversal of a decades-old IRS policy for taxation of the asset, and removing a proven incentive for the purchase of business aircraft.
