AD NUMBER: 2006-19-06 MANUFACTURER: Pratt & Whitney SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2006-19-06 SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Models PW118, PW118A, PW118B, PW119C, PW120, PW120A, PW121, PW121A, PW123, PW123B, PW123C, PW123D, PW123E, PW124B, PW125B, PW127, and PW127E turboprop engines with certain propeller shafts installed.

CEO Named To Company's Board Of Directors

Aero-News learned Thursday whole-airplane parachute recovery system manufacturer Ballistic Recovery Systems has appointed CEO Larry E. Williams to its Board of Directors.

Now that's a lot of helicopters. Aero-News learned this week that Air Methods Corporation, the largest air medical transportation provider in the United States, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with American Eurocopter to purchase 10 AS350 B2/B3 "AStar" helicopters annually, on an indefinite basis.
