Rowan Companies says a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter carrying 10
passengers and two crew members crashed in the Gulf of Tuesday
afternoon. All 12 persons aboard, including eight Rowan employees,
were rescued later that night by the US Coast Guard and transported
to nearby hospitals.
