Aero-News Alert: NBAA Picks Orlando For 2005 Convention

Convention Now Scheduled For November 9 - 11

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced it has selected the Orlando Orange County Convention Center and nearby Orlando Executive Airport in Orlando, FL, as the new venue for its 58th Annual Meeting & Convention in November. The Convention will take place from Wednesday, November 9 - Friday, November 11, a week earlier than originally planned. The announcement comes after NBAA was forced to move the event from New Orleans, LA, because of the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina.

AD NUMBER: 2005-18-06 MANUFACTURER: Bombardier SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2005-18-06 SUMMARY: The FAA is superseding an existing airworthiness directive (AD), which applies to all Bombardier Model CL-600-2B19 series airplanes. That AD currently requires revising the airplane flight manual (AFM) to provide the flightcrew with operating limitations and procedures to enable them to maintain controllability of the airplane in the event that aileron control stiffness is encountered during flight.

NATA has published a resource page of important information about Hurricane Katrina.
