Who the heck is Tecnam? This relatively unknown airplane manufacturer in the United States is an Italian company with its headquarters in Capua, Italy, a city north of Naples, and has its North American headquarters in Richmond, VA. It is the largest GA manufacture outside of the United States and is one of the few airplane manufactures, other than Boeing and Airbus that has a backlog of orders.
A variety of advanced stabilized imaging platforms and payloads for small unmanned aerial systems, unmanned aircraft, manned and unmanned land vehicles, ground systems, stationary mounts, and marine systems will be displayed by Hood Technology at the upcoming Unmanned Systems North America (AUVSI) show at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV, next week.
The University of Utah's AirMed program has taken delivery of an EC145 helicopter, the first Eurocopter aircraft to be utilized by the program. AirMed currently has a fleet of four helicopters.
