The NBAA on Thursday welcomed a proclamation recognizing the
importance of general aviation, including business aviation, to the
state of Kentucky and declaring July 2010 "General Aviation
Appreciation Month."
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation announced that Garmin's Synthetic
Vision Technology (SVT) and other associated avionics improvements
will be included as standard equipment on its piston-engine
Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza aircraft.
Honeywell Ups Coverage To Five Years Or 2,500 Hours
Operators flying Cessna Caravans with the Honeywell TPE331-12JR
turboprop engine, which now powers a dozen Cessna Caravans upgraded
by Aero Twin, Inc. and Texas Turbines Conversions, got word Monday
that the warranty has been extended on the engines to five years or
2,500 hours.
Dassault Falcon received certification from the EASA to equip
its flagship aircraft, the 7X, with its proprietary Enhanced Flight
Vision System (EFVS). Certification from the FAA is expected
in August.
Cessna has teamed with Spectrum Aeromed to develop a medical
transport version of the Citation Mustang. The announcement was
made on the opening day of AirVenture 2010.
