Ever take a flight you regretted? Harold DeGregory of West Palm
Beach, Florida sure has. The 58-year-old pilot delivered some cargo
from the Ft Lauderdale Executive airport to the Bahamas, in
November, 2004, and it could land him in the Federal pen.
These are exciting, if busy, times for the folks at ATG. ATG's
George Bye reports that the Javelin first flight is coming soon...
but not before they "make sure we've got everything just
right."
A notice published by the FAA a few days ago puts the Helicopter
EMS community on notice that their current accident rate requires
strong corrective action... but does not mandate any compulsory
behavior.
HAI tells ANN that they continue "to closely monitor tort reform
at the state and federal level and supports meaningful reform as a
method of addressing the high cost of aviation insurance. A
Pennsylvania court has upheld joint and several liability, and tort
reform advocates consider this a major setback."
