Tenth M-Class Single To Be Sold In Europe This Year
Building on a robust first half of 2012 in Europe, Piper Aircraft Inc. and Winters Aviation sold the tenth new M-Class single-engine aircraft for delivery into the continent this year. The latest transaction, involving a M-Class Meridian single-engine turboprop, was completed this past week during the Salon de l'Aviation Générale de Cannes at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD).
Former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson visited the new Kestrel plant in Superior last Friday, and the airplane factory was the first stop on his tour of the city. Thompson is running for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate.
Apparently when they can help make him look good, Senator Charles Schumer likes helicopters a lot. Monday, the New York Democrat's office issued a news release saying the FAA had granted permit to allow Haverfield Aviation to use a helicopter to string a tightrope from the Canadian side of Niagara falls to the American side.
The Eurocopter X3 hybrid aircraft has arrived in the United States for a month-long tour to demonstrate this advanced high-speed transportation system’s unique operational capabilities for both civil and military operators. Transported aboard a chartered cargo jetliner, the X3 touched down in Texas Monday to complete its trans-Atlantic crossing from France’s Istres Flight Test Center.
