New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson teed off at the Albuquerque
Journal Thursday, claiming that the paper ran a "false" and
"untrue" story that reported statements by several levels of state
transportation bureaucracy, to the effect that students at the New
Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired lost their ride
home when the Governor got his long-sought upgrade from an elderly
turboprop to a new $5.5 million CItation Bravo. Six to nine kids
from all around the large southwestern state have depended on the
state's transportation department for rides home on weekends from
the boarding school in Alamogordo.
NBAA's "Contact Congress" resource now has two new letters
available for Members to send to Congress to ensure that the voice
of the business aviation community is heard in Washington.
Schweizer Aircraft says it's delivered the tenth new 300CBi to
BC Helicopters, the helicopter flight training school, charter
operator and Schweizer Sales and Service Center in Abbotsford,
British Columbia. Gerry Friesen, owner of BC Helicopters, took
delivery of the aircraft at the Schweizer factory and flew it 2,400
miles to Abbotsford, the fifth new CBi that Friesen has flown on
this route.
Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering has purchased a
new Bell JetRanger helicopter to give the university and nation a
new platform of research sensors to bridge a gap in airborne
studies of natural and man-made environmental processes.
