Carter Aviation Technologies announced they unofficially broke
the Mu-1 barrier in flight-testing Friday
morning. Unfortunately, the aircraft suffered a hard landing
in an afternoon flight test, causing extensive damage to the
airframe. The crew escaped without injuries.
