Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced enhancements to its Field and Airborne Support Teams (FAST), the company’s program that helps Gulfstream aircraft operators in aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations by dispatching technicians and maintenance engineers by airplane, train or automobile.

UH-1H 'Huey' Helicopter Refitted For Fire Suppression
The Travis County (TX) STAR Flight’s aircraft fleet now includes a helicopter that is specially equipped for fighting wildfires, a first for the program and for local and regional flight programs across Texas. “Travis County is the first area in Texas to receive a helicopter that is outfitted for the primary mission of wildfire observation and suppression,” said STAR Flight Director Casey Ping.

Will Allow Assembly Of The Bizjets Under A U.S. Certificate
In a ceremony at Embraer Executive Jets’ Melbourne Campus, the FAA presented Embraer a Production Certificate to assemble Phenom 300s in the United States. Previously, Phenom 300 jets assembled in Melbourne have been certified under the FAA type certificate granted to those produced in Brazil.
