Boeing recently began work on the first Boeing Business Jet 3 --
a new, larger business jet based on the Boeing Next-Generation
737-900ER airliner, which entered commercial service and was
certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in April 2007.
Certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency occurred in
April 2008.

While Lakeland's annual Fly-In is not without its fair share (OK, more than its fair share) of problems, it is pretty much the lead off event for a new year's fly-in season... and thus looked forward to with great anticipation.

that the Air Transport Association is taking a break from spreading
its rhetoric against general aviation and, in particular, corporate

Lightweight Midsize Jet Targeted For '09 Certification
Chalk up a second aircraft manufacturer to announce this week
the selection of Honeywell's latest avionics suite. On Wednesday,
Spectrum Aeronautical said it has selected the Honeywell Primus
Apex integrated avionics platform for its new Freedom S-40
mid-sized business jet.
