Nelson/Sununu Amendment Would Remove User Fees From Senate
NBAA is applauding an amendment introduced by Senators Bill
Nelson (pictured right -- D-FL) and John Sununu (pictured below --
R-NH) that would strike proposed language calling for a per-flight
user fee as part of a Senate "reauthorization" (or funding) bill
for the FAA.

DayJet has just named named former NASA chief strategist Dr.
Bruce J. Holmes director of air systems research. In this role, Dr.
Holmes will work with federal and state agencies to deploy
next-generation technologies that will expand the number of small
airports DayJet can utilize across the country for its
‘Per-Seat, On-Demand’ jet service.
In a move intended to bring its North American sales and support
base in line with its other global centers, EADS announced this
week the board of directors for Fort Lauderdale, FL-based Socata
Aircraft Inc. approved the renaming of the company to EADS Socata
Keystone Helicopter recently delivered the
newest addition to the New Jersey State Police aircraft fleet. The
Sikorsky S-76B helicopter will perform medical evacuations and
support the state's homeland security programs.
