New AW139 Simulator Obtains ENAC Certification To Level D

Second Sim Located At AW Training Facility In Italy

The Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) has certified a CAE 3000 Series AW139 full-flight simulator (FFS), jointly developed by AgustaWestland and CAE, to Level D, the highest qualification for flight simulators. The new AW139 FFS, the third for Rotorsim, the joint venture owned equally by CAE and AgustaWestland, is the second located at the AgustaWestland Training Academy in Sesto Calende, Italy.

Final Assembly Of The Airship Will Be Near Akron, OH

Construction of the first of a new generation of Goodyear blimps is underway. Goodyear eventually plans to replace its entire fleet of iconic airships. The new Zeppelin LZ N07-101 airship, manufactured by Germany's ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik, will be assembled at Goodyear's Wingfoot Lake Hangar near Akron, Ohio.
