Simplex Receives EASA Approval For Eurocopter Cleaning And De-icing System

European Agency Validates FAA STC

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has completed the validation of the FAA's STC for the Simplex Model 510 powerline insulator and windmill cleaning and de-icing system. EASA has granted certification (EASA # 10043539) for installation and operation on AS 350 and AS 355 series aircraft. Simplex received an FAA STC for the Model 510 in December of 2011.

Two Survived The Accident At Thomson-McDuffie County Airport Near Augusta

A Hawker Beechcraft 390/Premier I business jet appeared to overrun the end of the runway at Thomson-McDuffie County Airport Near Augusta, GA, Wednesday night resulting in the fatal injury of five of the people on board the airplane. There were two survivors, one of whom is said to be the pilot.
