The success of the Public Aircraft Forum at Helo-Expo 2012 in
Dallas, Texas will result in the formation of an
industry-government working group to address the changes the FAA is
proposing to Advisory Circular (AC) 00-1.1 A on Public
Aircraft.
Heritage Helicopter Display Among The Most Dramatic Of The
Show
Helicopter Foundation International was very busy at Heli-Expo
2012. The foundation held its annual golf tournament, hosted
mentoring panels, and shared a great deal of information with
attendees about our mission and goals. New additions to our plans
for the show this year were a silent auction, heritage helicopter
display and historical interviews.
One of the most popular ways of getting around New York City is
by helicopter, and with that in mind, American Eurocopter is going
where the potential customers are. The company annouced this week
that it will open a dedicated helicopter sales office in New York
City next month.

Compliance With Stage 3 Noise Levels Mandated by 2015
The long-term FAA bill signed into law by President Obama last
week requires operators of aircraft which meet FAA Stage 2 noise
levels to modify their aircraft to meet Stage 3 noise limits by the
end of 2015. Section 506 prohibits, after December 31, 2015, the
operation within the 48 contiguous states of jets weighing 75,000
pounds or less not already complying with Stage 3 noise levels,
with some exceptions for temporary operations related to moving
aircraft for modification or sale.
