Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. gave props to PHI Inc. for taking the
lead on developing technology that improves air traffic control
safety and efficiency for S-92 helicopters serving PHI's Gulf of
Mexico oil customers. Sikorsky collaborated on developing the
technology and announced the advances Tuesday.
Operators of Bell Helicopter's 407 can use a new
supplemental type certificate to increase the hot-and-high
performance of that light, single-engine helicopter.
Appareo Systems and Eurocopter today announced that the FAA has
recently granted an STC for the ALERTS Vision 1000 Flight Data
Management (FDM) system. The STC covers installation in Eurocopter
AS350 B1, BA, B2, and B3 aircraft. Additional STCs for other
aircraft models are planned.
Four Additional Aircraft Ordered For Offshore
Transport
Bristow Group has placed an order for four AW139 medium-twin
helicopters to be used to perform offshore transport missions,
AgustaWestland announced this week at Heli-Expo in Houston. The new
helicopter will join three aircraft already delivered.
The first Hawker 4000 business jet to be delivered to China has
been accepted by an unnamed customer, who will use it for both
business and leisure travel, HBC announced Tuesday. China's first
Hawker 4000 is based at the Beijing Capital International
Airport.
