Procurement Process Underway For New Helicopter Service To Be
Provided By Civilian Crews
In a written statement to the UK parliament, Secretary of State
for Transport, Justine Greening said that she wished to inform the
House of the Government's intentions for the future of the search
and rescue helicopter service in the UK.

EASA has certified the newest version of the Bell 407 ... dubbed
the 407GX. The aircraft was introduced in March at the 2011
HELI-EXPO annual convention in Orlando, FL, and Bell has received
more than 60 orders for the helo, with the first aircraft expected
