and Diamond Aircraft announced Thursday that Airline Transport
Professionals (ATP) has purchased 20 single-engine Diamond D-Jets
to be utilized in ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program.
Cessna announced at AOPA Expo 2006 Thursday the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) has cleared the Citation Mustang for flight
into known icing (FIKI). Full FAA type certification for the
Citation Mustang was awarded September 8, making it the first of a
new category of entry level jets to win type certification from the
FAA.
The National Transportation Safety Board recommends that the
Federal Aviation Administration: Disseminate to all principal
inspectors of 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 certificate
holders and to all Part 135 certificate holders guidance that
includes specific procedures, such as those contained in the draft
