FAA Grants STC For Citation I Glass Panel Retrofit

Allows Installation Of Three-Screen Flight Deck On All Citation 501 Models

The FAA has awarded an STC to Sierra Industries for a "glass panel" retrofit for all Citation 501 models. Developed in cooperation with Garmin International Inc., the STC allows installation of the three-screen digital flight deck suite utilizing the same displays as the well-known Garmin G1000 system.

Exercises Four Options To Purchase Four AS350 B3e Helicopters

At the recently-completed Aviation Medical Transport Conference in St. Louis, MO, Air Medical Resource Group (AMRG) announced it has exercised their options and ordered four more AS350 B3e helicopters. The options were part of an order announced at Heli-Expo 2011 and will bring AMRG’s fleet of AS350 B3e helicopters to seven.

Chinese Company Signs Firm Orders With Embraer At NBAA

Embraer and China’s Minsheng Financial Leasing signed a firm order for 13 Legacy 650 executive jets at the 64th Annual NBAA Meeting & Convention, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered by the end of this year, with the rest making the journey to Asia within the next five years. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding back in July for up to 20 aircraft ranging from entry level Phenoms to the ultra-large executive jets.

Ethiopian Airlines Expands Their Flight Training Fleet With 2 Diamond DA42 NGs

Pilots hoping to fly for Ethiopian Airlines will be getting at least some of their training in Diamond DA42 NG twins, and the Austrian planemaker delivered two of the aircraft to Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) after a ferry flight from Wiener Neustadt (Austria), where Diamond Aircraft’s headquarters are located. The aircraft were delivered on September 29th.
