Cunningham Passes The Gavel To Manitoba’s Dick Shine

The Voting Membership of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today re-elected 11 directors during its 64th Annual Meeting held today at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Additionally, Richard Shine of Manitoba Corp. succeeded Patrick C. Cunningham of PepsiCo, Inc. as Board chairman, and Ron Duncan of General Communications, Inc. will serve as NBAA’s new vice chairman/treasurer.

Company Was First OEM To Certify Enhanced Flight Vision System

Gulfstream recently recognized the 10th anniversary of certifying business aviation’s first Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS), which was certified by the FAA on a Gulfstream V, on Sept. 14, 2001. The certification sparked more than a decade of avionics advancements for the company, including becoming the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to take operational credit for EFVS.

CAE will install a new full-flight simulator at its CAE SimuFlite training centre in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, USA, to provide training for operators of the Gulfstream G450 and Gulfstream G550 aircraft types. Nextant Aerospace has entered into an agreement with Beechcraft Sales and Service GmbH (Beechcraft Augsburg) to open the first factory-approved service center in Europe for Nextant-manufactured aircraft. Nextant also announced Monday at the NBAA convention in Las Vegas Monday that it has entered into agreements with Emery Air, Inc. to provide service for the 400XT in the Chicago area and with Jet Works Air Center to provide service in the Dallas area.
