Sea Shepherd Conservation Society Using Electric Drones For
Aerial Surveillance
Anti-whaling activists have started using a UAV to
supplement manned helicopter flights in their efforts to stop
Japanese whaling in the Antarctic ocean. Members of the Sea
Shepherd Conservation Society say they have been using a
hand-launched electric drone with a range of about 180 miles to
spot Japanese whaling factory ships.

The FAA has granted an STC for Simplex Aerospace’s new
power line insulator and windmill cleaning system for the
Eurocopter AS350 and 355 series. The STC, number SR02207SE issued
on 12-15-2011, is the newest product in the company’s 65 year
history of innovation.
Program Participants Have Received Nearly $1 Million Since Its
Inception
NBAA Member Companies participating in the Association's
Workers' Compensation Insurance Program will receive yet another
20-percent dividend in 2012, due to the outstanding loss ratio of
the group, the Association reported today. Participants in the
program have received nearly $1 million dollars in dividends to
