Infractions Include Full-Fare Advertising And Fare-Hold Commitment
The U.S. DOT has fined Russia's Aeroflot airline for violating the Department’s expanded airline passenger protection rules, which took effect in January. Aeroflot violated the rule on full-fare advertising and the rule requiring airlines to include a commitment in their customer service plans allowing consumers either to hold reservations at the quoted fare without payment, or cancel without penalty, for 24 hours after they book a flight.
