AirTran Holdings, Inc., the parent company of AirTran Airways,
announced Monday that it has entered into a definitive merger
agreement to be acquired by Southwest Airlines in a transaction
currently valued at more than $1.37 billion.
Russian Domestic Carrier To Join Alliance On November 15th
Russian domestic carrier S7 Airlines says it will become part of
oneworld effective November 15th, offering the alliance's full
range of services and benefits and substantially expanding its
network throughout Russia and the rest of the Commonwealth of
Independent States.
Union Says Legislature Should "Close The FedEx Loophole"
After Congress last week voted to extend the FAA Reauthorization
Bill for another three months, the Teamsters Union issued a call to
the Legislature to pass the permanent reauthorization. They say the
current law gives special status to workers at FedEx.
