Lauds Safe Conclusion To Hijacking, But Calls Crime 'Serious
And Life-Threatening'
Capt. John Prater, president of the Air Line Pilots Association,
Int’l (ALPA), has issued a statement regarding the guilty
conviction handed down by Jamaica’s Western Regional Gun
Court following the attempted hijacking of CanJet Flight 918 on
April 19 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Nations Will Cooperate To Build Security Institutions And
Practices
TSA and the Georgian United Transport Administration (UTA)
announced a cooperative effort in Tblisi, Georgia Tuesday to
enhance aviation security. With the signing of a Joint Statement of
Intent between the TSA and the UTA, both agencies pledged to
partner in a comprehensive program of aviation security
enhancements.
"Nexcelle" has been chosen as the name for the innovative joint
venture company created by GE’s Middle River Aircraft Systems
(MRAS) and the Safran group’s Aircelle company to develop
engine nacelles for next-generation integrated propulsion
systems.
