President, Sherry Carbary, urged the industry to stand together
through the current economic challenges by lowering training costs,
increasing efficiency and embracing competency-based training
programs.
Region Will Account For 35 percent Of World Value In New
Airplanes
Boeing forecasts that the Asia Pacific region will rank as the
world's largest aviation market over the next 20 years, requiring
8,960 new commercial jets valued at approximately $1.1 trillion.
Asia Pacific is the largest market in the forecast for new
airplanes in terms of both units required and market value.

A suburban Chicago man who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 350
pounds was tacitly told by Southwest Airlines employees he was too
large to fly back to Chicago from Las Vegas, leaving he and his
