A380 Schedule Announcement Could Come As Early As Friday
French newspaper LaTribune, citing unidentified company
officials, says Airbus may make an announcement about A380 delivery
schedules as early as Friday -- this according to Bloomberg.
A battle that's simmered for years is in the limelight again --
this time before Congress. Thirty airline veterans began a
two-day lobbying campaign in Washington asking lawmakers to
repeal the age-60 rule -- as they've had no luck with the FAA on
this one.
Sir Richard Branson has a new cause. Last week, he pledged to
donate all profits from his rail and airline companies to combat
global warming. He says he'll use profits to develop new, cleaner
energy sources. On Wednesday... Branson proposed a plan he says
would cut aircraft emissions by up to 25-percent.
Air Canada Jazz Will Equip Its CRJ705s With System
Aero-News learned Wednesday Rockwell Collins just received
a hat-trick of certifications for its HGS-4200 Head-up Guidance
System. The system is now certified by the European Aviation Safety
Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transport
Canada (TC) for use on Bombardier CRJ705 and Bombardier CRJ900
aircraft.
