Thirteen years after the United States made collision
avoidance systems mandatory on commercial transport aircraft, it
appears likely Transport Canada will follow suit by the end of this
year.
All of you out there who, perhaps somewhat derisively, refer to
the Airbus A380 as the "whalejet" better take a look at the latest
Boeing to take flight.
In a press release on their website, Delta executives announced
yesterday they are recalling "approximately 200" flight attendants
and "up to 65" pilots.
Five days... four VERY long flights. An Airbus A380 took off
from Toulouse, France Friday morning, for the fourth and last of
the planned Early Long Flights test series. At 15-hours in
duration, the final flight was also the longest planned trek in a
series of test "ELF" passenger flights.
