BTS: Airlines Set Records For First Half Of 2012 In On-Time Performance

Fewest Cancellations, Tarmac Delays, Lowest Mishandled Baggage Rate

The nation’s largest airlines set record marks during the first half of this year for on-time performance, the fewest long tarmac delays, and the lowest rates of canceled flights and mishandled baggage. According to the Air Travel Consumer Report issued today by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the 15 largest U.S. airlines posted an 83.7 percent on-time arrival rate during the first six months of 2012, the highest mark for any January-June period in the 18 years the Department has collected comparable data.

ILFC To Lease Six Airbus A330-300 Aircraft To AirAsia X

Aircraft Are Scheduled For Delivery Over The Next Two Years

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc., announced Wednesday that AirAsia X, a low-cost, long-haul affiliate of AirAsia, has signed a letter of intent with ILFC for the lease of six Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
