Takes Over Assets Of Australian Company And Grows Its Fleet By
More Than 80 Percent
Dublin, Ireland-based FLY Leasing Limited ("FLY"), a global
lessor of commercial jet aircraft, announced Wednesday it has
entered into an agreement to purchase a $1.4 billion portfolio of
49 aircraft, increasing FLY's total aircraft under operating lease
to more than $3 billion. The aircraft were previously managed by
Global Aviation Asset Management, an Australian company.

The Next-Generation B-737 production aircraft ordered by
Ethiopian Airways will include Esterline CMC Electronics’
10.4 inch Class 2 PilotView Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). Boeing has
received its first order from the airline for ten B737NG production
aircraft. CMC’s Class 2 EFB system is now available on
production aircraft and for retrofit on B737NG and BBJ
Hamilton Sundstrand Signs MOU With AVIC To Teach Project
Officials of Hamilton Sundstrand representing United
Technologies Corporation (UTC) have signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with Aviation Industry Corporation of China
(AVIC), for cooperation on leadership training for AVIC's
commercial aviation businesses, including project management
training and Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) training.
The union representative of the pilots of Republic
Airlines and Frontier Airlines filed a lawsuit Wednesday in U.S.
District Court in Denver against Frontier Airlines Inc., its parent
company, Republic Airways Holdings Inc. and a "shell company" set
up by the rejected former union of Frontier.
