Formalizes Commitment Made At Farnborough Air Show
Thai Airways International (THAI) has finalized a purchase
agreement with Airbus for the firm order of seven A330-300s,
confirming a commitment announced at last month's Farnborough Air
Show.
Airline Has Opened State-of-the-Art Operations Center, Plans A
New Pilot Base
AirTran Airways recently opened the doors to its new System
Operations Control (SOC) Center, and during the unveiling, AirTran
Airways Chairman, President and CEO Bob Fornaro also announced
plans to open a pilot base in the airline's hometown of Orlando, FL
this fall.
Sources inside Boeing indicate that the final Dreamliner test
aircraft (ZA006) may not fly until September 12, but it is still
targeting the first delivery of a production aircraft to
launch customer ANA in the 4th quarter of this year.
