France And Germany Have Also Pledged Financial Support
Britain on Friday agreed to lend Airbus $563 million to develop
its A350 long-haul passenger aircraft in a move to create jobs and
boost the struggling aerospace sector. The British government said
in a statement that it would loan Airbus the equivalent of 394
million Euros ahead of the A350's launch in 2013.
Facility Builds Two Mid-Fuselage Sections Of The
Dreamliner
A production flaw in Dreamliner fuselage sections detected at
the Alenia Aeronautica plant in Naples has caused production work
to be stopped there, Boeing has confirmed. Structural
weakness in the composite fuselage sections could cause a wrinkling
of the material that could lead to "significant degradation".
Union Wants Delta And Northwest To Be Treated As A Single

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers (IAM) Thursday took the necessary steps to resolve
representational issues for 12,700 fleet service, flight simulator
technician and plant protection employees at the combined Delta Air
Lines and Northwest Airlines.
