Both Say Airline Has Final Say On When Passengers May

Both TSA and DOT lay the blame for 47 passengers being stuck on
a 50 seat ExpressJet regional jet overnight on the airline, saying
it has the final authority in determining when passengers may or
may not be allowed to get off an aircraft.
Passengers Will Have To Enter Additional Information When
Purchasing A Ticket
Phase Two of TSA's 'Secure Flight' program begins at the end of
the week, meaning passengers will be required to enter their date
of birth and gender when booking airline flights.
Three Twenty Holdings, Ltd. has selected a full suite of
Rockwell Collins avionics, including the MultiScan Hazard Detection
System, for installation on 25 new A320 aircraft. Deliveries are
scheduled to begin in September 2009 and last through 2015.
CRJ1000 NextGen Jetliner Program Continues To Move Forward
Bombardier Aerospace has terminated its firm order purchase
agreement with MyAir.com of Italy in respect of all remaining
undelivered aircraft. Four CRJ900 aircraft have been
delivered to the airline. Bombardier's decision comes as the air
carrier is facing an uncertain situation.
Southwest Airlines says it will pony up $170M to rescue
struggling Frontier Airlines from bankruptcy, a figure far above
the nearly $109 million Republic Airways Holdings said it was
willing to pay. Southwest competes with Frontier from their mutual
hub in Denver.
