Boeing, Norwegian Air Shuttle Signs Order For 42 737-800s

Largest 737 Order From A European Carrier In 2007

On Thursday, Boeing and low-fare carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA announced an order for 42 Boeing Next-Generation 737-800s. The order is valued at $3.1 billion at list prices. The airline has secured purchase rights for an additional 42 737-800s.

Bombardier Aerospace announced plans Wednesday to shave a day off the length of time it takes to produce a CRJ-700 and CRJ-900 jet -- from five days to four -- to meet the demand of its backlog.
