Runway Incursion, "Passenger Revolt" Under Investigation
There's yet another runway incursion incident to tell you about,
this one at Philadelphia International Airport. A US Airways pilot
took a wrong turn on a taxiway just before midnight Sunday, sending
that aircraft into the path of an oncoming Air Wisconsin plane.
Airport Passenger Traffic in North America Grows 0.8 Percent in
2006
More than 1.53 billion passengers (defined as the aggregate
total of arriving --deplanement-- and departing --enplanement--
passengers. Transfer passengers are only counted once) traveled
through North American airports in 2006, an increase of 0.8
percent, according to the Airports Council International-North
America (ACI-NA).
Things may just be getting better at Northwest Airlines. The
beleaguered Eagan, MN-based airline announced this week it reached
a tentative deal with the Air Line Pilots Association on
contractual changes to pilot work rules, all aimed at stemming the
rising tide of cancelled flights over the past two months.

2007 Paris Air Show -- especially for European planemaker
Airbus -- things have been fairly quiet from both of
the world's largest planemakers. This week, however, Boeing
reported it is still very much in the game... with two new orders
