The Allied Pilots Association, (collective bargaining agent for
the 13,500 pilots of American Airlines), has expressed support for
'fair and equitable reductions' in airline traffic at Chicago
O'Hare International Airport in response to the FAA's Section 422
hearing about congestion at the airport.
Jordan Aviation, the Jordanian chartered airline, has been
banned from flying into and out of France after French and Italian
authorities found serious problems with its security oversight
procedures.
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of
Transportation Statistics (BTS) today reported, in a release of
preliminary data, that U.S. airlines carried 52.6 million domestic
passengers in May, 6.3 percent more than in May 2003.
