Turkish Airlines Signs For An Additional A330-200

Delivery Expected In 2011

 Turkish Airlines has placed a firm order for an additional A330-200 aircraft.  The purchase joins existing orders for 10 A330-300s, two A330-200 freighters and 24 A320 family aircraft signed in 2009. The newly-ordered aircraft will be powered by Rolls Royce engines and will be delivered in 2011.

Second Airliner Aborts At Yeager Airport In West Virginia

No Injuries As Regional Jet Saved By Overrun Material At Runway End

A US Airways regional jet had to abort a takeoff at Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virgina Tuesday, but it was prevented from going over the edge at the mountaintop airport by a lightweight concrete material designed for that purpose.
