Kansas State University's new Paradigm CRJ 200 flight training
simulator is being brought online to "enhance the learning
experience for K-State students in the professional pilot and
aviation maintenance programs," according to Kurt Barnhart, head of
the department of aviation at K-State at Salina.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers (IAM) is publicizing a campaign to help United Airlines'
(UAL) 9,000 Mechanic & Related employees return to Machinists
Union representation.
Boeing, Rolls-Royce, RUAG Aerospace and Deharde Maschinenbau are
talking about a collaborative research agreement to explore
the potential of fuel-efficient open-fan (open rotor) propulsion
technology for future commercial airplanes.
