After failing to convince the FAA to reopen talks on a new
contractfor air traffic controllers -- leaving the possibility the
FAA could unilaterally impose new terms on controllers -- the
National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) is taking its
message to the streets... or more accurately, the airport
concourses.
Boeing tells ANN the latest round of wind-tunnel testing for the
new Boeing 747-8 concluded recently, marking another milestone for
the program launched in November by Cargolux Airlines and Nippon
Cargo Airlines.
It's a big one -- and it took a decade to build -- but
controllers have moved into their new tower at Atlanta's
Hartsfield-Jackson International, and tracked their first
commercial flight from the new digs at 3:10 am Saturday.
