Boeing Canada Winnipeg has announced plans to increase its Murray Park Road manufacturing site by more than 22 percent, primarily to house new composites work for Boeing's 737 MAX airplane. The building will be expanded by 150,000 square feet to a total of 665,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
A350-1000 To Take Major Role In Future British Airways Long-Haul Efforts
After a thorough selection process, International Airline Group (IAG), and British Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to buy 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft plus 18 options, as part of the airline’s on-going long-haul aircraft fleet renewal and modernization strategy. IAG, owner of both British Airways and Iberia, has also secured commercial terms and delivery slots that could lead to firm orders for Iberia.
Councilman Files FOI Request To Make Information Public
A Windsor, Ontario, Canada, City Councilman has filed a Freedom of Information request in an attempt to gain the release of a lease agreement between Windsor Airport and Premier Aviation. While Councilman Alan Halberstadt said he knows how much rent the company pays, he thinks it should be disclosed to the general public, which he is currently not allowed to do.

TSA has decided to put a policy change that would have allowed small knives on planes on hold while it receives public comment on the proposal. "This timing will enable TSA to incorporate the feedback about the changes to the Prohibited Items List and continue workforce training," TSA said in a statement. The change was to have gone into effect April 25.
