Complaints Decrease As Well; Five Flights Stranded On Ground
Over Four Hours
The nation's largest airlines had a higher rate of on-time
flights this past February than in either February of last year or
in January 2009, according to the Air Travel Consumer Report
released Thursday by the US Department of Transportation.

found the European planemaker has a distinct advantage relative to
the cost of employing them.
$8.8 Million To Be Spent On Renovations To Runway 13L/31R
Officials with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
learned Wednesday the airport received a second grant from the
recently passed federal stimulus bill, known officially as the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. The stimulus
funds, which will be distributed by the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA), total $8.8 million and will be used for the
renovation of Runway 13L/31R, including lighting and surface
repairs.
Airnorth Will Operate Plane Under Lease With JetScape
Embraer delivered an Embraer 170 jet this week to Australia's
Darwin-based Airnorth, during a ceremony held at Embraer's
headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The
airline is the launch customer of the Embraer 170 in Australia, and
is now adding this new aircraft to its fleet. The jet will be
operated by Airnorth under a lease with Jetscape, Inc., and comes
from Jetscape's firm orders.
