SUMMARY: The FAA is revising an existing airworthiness
directive (AD), which applies to all Boeing Model 777
airplanes.
Expansion plans for the Long Beach (CA) International Airport
continue to meet with opposition. In a special session Tuesday, the
Long Beach City Council heard a presentation from HOK, the
architectural firm contracted to design the expansion.
Air traffic controllers have long held the runway situation at
Memphis International Airport poses a potential risk to pilots. In
the wake of national spotlight recently cast on the situation, the
FAA decided to make some changes.
