After receiving a “best and final” contract proposal
more costly than what the air traffic controllers union indicated
publicly last week, the FAA ended contract negotiations with the
National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) Wednesday
(today).
Last week, Delta pilots staged a series of practice strikes
throughout the nation, most notably at the airline's home airport
in Atlanta. That was, we reported at the time, a
demonstration of pilots' outrage against threatened pay cuts by
Delta management.
Boeing has selected Goodrich Corporation to provide a Flight
Deck Entry Video Surveillance System for the new 787 Dreamliner.
The system, offered as option to 787 customers, will provide flight
crews with a complete view of the aircraft flight deck entry area
in order to enhance cockpit security and ultimately, overall
aircraft safety.
