President Obama's nominees for the top spot at the Transportation
Security Administration has withdrawn his name from consideration.
Obama's second nominee withdrew late Friday due to growing
questions concerning his background as a defense contractor.
Says The House Bill Is Lacking From An Airline Perspective
The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) said Thursday
that the U.S. House of Representatives vote on the FAA Air
Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act is a "step
in the wrong direction."
The Allied Pilots Association (APA) said Wednesday it strongly
supports H.R.4788, the “Aviation Jobs Outsourcing Prevention
Act.” The bill would place limits on alliances between two or
more airlines, or between a domestic carrier and a foreign
carrier.
