SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2009-07-01
SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive
(AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory
continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation
authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe
condition on an aviation product.
Two airlines with big plans to go after Qantas on the lucrative
LAX-Sydney route will join forces. Virgin Blue
international subsidiary V Australia and Delta Air Lines
have signed an Australia-US interline agreement, allowing travelers
to purchase a single ticket from their travel agent, V Australia or
Delta for travel between the US and Australia on either
carrier.
An emailed statement sent by Emirates revealed a passenger on
Flight EK011 from the airlines' base in Dubai to London's Gatwick
Airport Sunday morning discovered a note "implying a security
threat."

A woman aboard a Pacific Blue flight from Samoa to New Zealand
last week reportedly gave birth in the plane's bathroom - and
proceeded to deplane upon arrival, abandoning the baby in the
bathroom's waste bin.
The Allied Pilots Association board passed a resolution Thursday
censuring union president Lloyd Hill and vice president Tom
Westbrook, accusing the duo of "frequently failing to adhere to the
policies, directives, and resolutions of the board of
