It's official -- there's a new player in the increasingly
crowded regional jet game. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries officially
launched the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) Friday, with a 25-plane
order (10 firm, 15 options) from Japan's All Nippon Airlines.
Carrier Garners $31.7 Million Net Profit, After 2006 Loss
Israel's national airline, El Al, the national airline of
Israel, continues its profit trend, as revenue rose by 16% in 2007
when compared with 2006, totaling approximately $1.93 billion --
the highest revenue in the 60 years that El Al has been in
service.
Calls In Ballistics Expert To Help Find Missing Piece
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating an
aircraft accident in which a panel from the wing of a US Airways
Boeing 757, flight 1250 en route from Orlando, FL to Philadelphia,
PA separated from the aircraft somewhere over Maryland.
Chinese officials say they've obtained a confession from a woman
who allegedly attempted to set off an explosion in the lavatory of a
China Southern Airlines flight on March 7.
