The airline that aims to operate the largest fleet of Airbus
A380 superjumbos worldwide is eagerly anticipating delivery of its
first plane... and is touting the network it eventually will
offer.
Here's the first airline merger announcement of 2008... and it
has nothing (well, very little) to do with
Delta. On Sunday, the board of beleaguered Italian flag carrier
Alitalia accepted a $1.17 billion takeover offer from Air
France/KLM.
The 33rd Annual FAA Aviation Forecast Conference finished up a
few days ago... and provided "an opportunity for senior leaders
from across the aviation community to look forward and share their
views on the future of the aviation industry."
