SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive
(AD) for certain Boeing Model 757-200, -200PF,and -200CB series
airplanes.
When news first surfaced last week of Southwest Airlines'
failure to comply with mandatory safety inspections on dozens of
its jets in 2007, the Dallas-based low-cost carrier adopted a
measured, though defiant, tone in its statements to the press.
That cramped middle seat to Fargo, and game of checked luggage
roulette, is about to cost you a bit more. Responding to a week of
record oil prices, on Friday United Airlines announced it has hiked
its fares as much as $50 for a round-trip ticket.
Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) honored
Rep. Jerry F Costello (D-IL) with the 2008 Commissioners
Congressional Leadership Award for his ongoing support of the
aviation industry. The formal presentation took place March 13 on
Capitol Hill at the 2008 ACI-NA Commissioners Leadership
