Northwest Airlines tells ANN that it has reached an agreement
with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers (IAM) on a contract covering the airline's customer service
and reservations staff. The IAM announced that the agreement was
ratified by a majority of its members.
Boeing has detailed its Current Market Outlook for the
Asia-Pacific region, forecasting a market for about 7,200 new
airplanes worth $770 billion over the next 20 years. Over the
forecast period, Asia-Pacific will remain the largest market
outside North America for new commercial airplanes.
Airbus announced Monday that Yemenia-Yemen Airways has selected
the Airbus A350-800 as part of its long-term fleet modernization
program, and has signed a preliminary agreement to buy six of the
planes with options for another four.
