Recommendation Affects Approximately 400 Airbus Planes
On Friday, the National Transportation Safety Board urged the
Federal Aviation Administration to order inspections of the inner
skin of the composite rudder surfaces of certain Airbus A300 series
airplanes.
After nine days of what could charitably be described
as "heated" talks between Delta Air Lines management and the
pilots union before a three member federal arbitration panel,
the two parties were firmly told Thursday to return to the
bargaining table... and make nice, or else.

Malaysia Airlines System's (MAS) cargo operation, MASkargo, took
delivery Monday of its first Boeing 747-400 Freighter. The airplane
departed Everett's Paine Field late Monday night, and is the first
of two 747-400Fs that MASkargo will receive this year.
Rockwell Collins has been selected by Air Mauritius to provide
avionics on three of its upcoming A340 aircraft, as well as for two
additional A340s on option. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in
October 2006.
